Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Legal claim by husband for property owned solely by wife?

My sister owned her condo when she married. Later she bought a house and her name is the only one on the deed. She qualified for the mortagage and bought the house on her own even though she was married at the time. She has made all mortgage payments out of her personal checking account. Husband has paid nothing, but now he is talking divorce and taking half of everything, including the house. Is this possible?

It would be unlikely that the husband's marital claims could viably extend to the house under this scenario unless he could demonstrate that he in some manner contributed to the increase in the house's equity through the contribution of his labor, money, or materials.
