The calculation of child support involves a number of factors, including the gross income of each party, the number of days the kids are with each parent during the year, who provides health insurance and what it costs, and the details of work related child care costs. If you each have the kids half of the time and if your incomes are very close and if both of you either have roughly equal or don't have work related child care costs, it may just mean sharing the cost of health insurance.
