Yes, it's not easy, but is possible under Virginia law for the purpose of meeting the requirements of no-fault divorce in Virginia found at Va. Code Sec. 20-91.

Yes you can. The trick is though you have to make sure you have a friend or relative to witness you living in separate parts of the house. That friend or relative will have to testify at your final divorce that they visited you at least a couple of times since the 2 of you separated in the same house and they saw that you were staying in another part of the house, that you weren't cooking meals for eachother or (believe it or not) doing each other's laundry!
