Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I live in the state of Virginia and me and my wife have been separated for about two months and she will not let me see my little girl. I have tried to get in contact with her and her family will not let me. I need to know if I could file kidnapping charges or what can I do?

Go down to the clerk's office of your local J&DR;Court and tell them you want to

file a petition either for custody or for visitation rights to see your child

on a regular basis. (You will need to have a valid address where the mother

can be served with the papers regarding your suit.)
