Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Manic episode

Been married 30+ years. Husband is manic depressive. Is there any way, short of divorce, to set things up legally so I wouldn't be liable if he gets into financial trouble when he's in a manic state?

I should've added to my prior answer

that you should make sure that you have no joint accounts with your husband of any kind, particularly of the credit card kind.

No Ma'am there is not, under the current state of Virginia law, to accommodate this kind of situation,

at least of which I am aware.
