Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Marital Assets

I got divorced in Virginia, my ex and I own a convenience store and a marina worth 3 million. It's been on the market for well over a year. I'm afraid that my ex is running it to the ground since I'm now in Florida. He's living it up there using our assets while I struggle here with no money(my power just got shut off). His parents are very influential in their town and I'm afraid even my lawyer is not trust worthy, not to mention that she's in the hospital with a heart attack and her office phone is disconnected. My ex does not pay me alimony since it had become a violent situation towards me and my daughter, under duress I decided to agree at the moment just to escape him and his parents. I asked for some sort of advance but his lawyer said no meanwhile he's living large while I barely have food or shelter. What can I do?

Re: Marital Assets

Sounds like you may need to hire a new lawyer who can start looking out for your interests, such as they are (or may be), in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
