Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Marital Home
My husband and I are both on the Deed to our home - purchased during our marriage. If I move out and my husband continues to live there will it influence anything to do with the equity that I am entitled to in the divorce? We have no children together.

Re: Marital Home
If you were to move out, and did not contribute to any further mortgage payments, nor to maintenance costs or any improvements to the property which your husband might subsequently make, then he would likely receive a proportionately greater share of the equity in the marital property at the time of the divorce.
