marriage after divorce

I was recently in the Alexandria Courthouse (july 1st)with my witness and the judge said everything was ok and that i was divorced.My lawyer said he will send the papers (i guess what they call final divorce) My ex wife did not answer at all , she lives in another state we have no children , we got into an agreement and i guess she was fine with it. Should i wait only 21 days to re-marry (to another woman)and be safe? or is there anything else i should make sure is done before i get married again? I know i definitely should wait to hear from my lawyer but once thats done what is the time you recomend i should wait? any answers to this matter will be really appreciated.Thanks
