Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I was married Dec 28, 89 , divorced ---judge signed Aug 24 90,entered-s.h. Aug 31,90. I remarried April 24, 91.

then resently noticed that the divorce witness(clerk of superior court) dated thier signature for May 13, 91.

I know Va doesn't have common law marriage. So is the second marriage legal?

Virginia does not recognize common law marriages, but if the divorce decree was signed by the judge on Aug 31, 1990, it was final and beyond recall thirty days thereafter. Your second marriage would not be affected by whatever it is that you saw the clerk had signed. (I suspect what you were looking at is the certification by the clerk that the copy you saw was a true copy of the original.)
