Would I need a pre nuptial agreement if anything separated us. Would having a written document between us say we are good to clean married and not legally make any difference. I do not need to be responsible for any of his deats nor give up with my parents gave me But I want to be married in the eyes of god

One cannot be validly married in the Commonwealth of Virginia without

a valid marriage license irrespective of whatever vows the would be

spouses might pledge to each other and the Almighty. (I cannot vouch for what might obtain in Delaware with respect to the applicable law, but I suspect it would be similar.)

And, without a valid marriage, I see no need to address any further issues including the one of a prenuptial agreement in the situation described.
