Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I married a man who i thought was in love with me and then found out a month after we got married that he just wanted me to sign his immigration papers. I refused and want an annulment. How can I do this?

Arrange for a consultation with an attorney who handles domestic relations

matters in the Commonwealth and who should be able to advise you on

the possibility of your filing for an annulment based on grounds

set forth in Va. Code Sec. 20-89.1 (c).

You should be aware, however, that your continued cohabitation with this person after having become aware of what you regard as the fraudulent basis for your marriage, could jeopardize your chances of being awarded the annulment which you seek.
