I got married in Saint Lucia in 1998, we are living in Leesburg Virginia. We want to get a divorce and separation of property�Do we have to start the paper work in virginia? and is a 50%-50% division of capitol?

If you have been living in Virginia for more than six months, you can file in Virginia. I do not know the laws of Saint Lucia, but you might be able to file there.

In Virginia there is no automatic division of property 50/50, but most property agreements and most court decisions will be divide property close to 50/50.
