Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

We married in Tennessee and got divorced in Turkey after 10 years. Divorce decree is final.

I would like to have court judgment on my divorce in Virginia.

How do I go about it?

Virginia law and legal procedure?

Yes, it's possible that if thiis divorce decree was

done in full compliance with Turkish divorce law, that this decree

could now be registered in the appropriate Virginia court and thus by

doing so would become as valid as if it had originated as

one of Virginia's own divorce decrees.

You should arrange for a consultation with a Virginia attorney

who handles domestic relations matters in the Commonwealth

and who should be able to further explain the procedures to you

and provide as well a reasonably accurate estimate as to what it might cost.
