Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

A married woman claims that I am the father of her unborn child. Her husband was with her during the time of conception but now has left her. Is the husband legally considered the father of her child or can she request a paternity test from me to determine if I am the father of her child?

Yes, her current husband is presumed to be the father until a court of proper

jurisdiction decides that you (or someone else) is the father based upon the results of a paternity test which was ordered as part of the mother's petition to establish paternity of the child at issue.
