Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am married six years. I have a two year old son.me and my husband are both USA citizens.I suffered for postpartum depression.My husbabd got a job in Canada and my family is in Canada.We moved back to Canada to get some help from family to raise our child.After six months my husband desserted me to go back to USA. for first two months he send me enough money.Since last two months he is not sending me enough to meet my expenses. Can I claim legally for settlement . In case he sends me a divorce.
