Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have been married for 4yrs. I now want a divorce is there any chance he can ask for custody. We had in the past petition for adoption on his behalf but it's still in court. Just this year he opened his own bussiness and church. which my name is not attach to any of this along with the house that was bought during this time ? what would be my step to get out of this marriage? he is the stepfather.
