Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Mental/Emotional Abuse

My son's biological mother continues to cause mental/emotional abuse to him during her visitations. Due to myself confronting her about making sure he does his homeowrk & checks it correctly because it is wrong when he comes home, she took it upon herself to yell and scream at him the entire visitation while making uncalled for comments such as telling him she hopes he fails fourth grade because it is not her fault he doesn't do his homework accurateley and that he is not personal and needs to go to special-person classes to learn to be normal. I have had him in counseling for 2 yrs this June and it has helped, but this last session took a real toll on him. Is this grounds to have her visitation revised in order to cause less mental and emotional abuse to him by her?

Re: Mental/Emotional Abuse

Perhaps, but a court reviewing the matter would likely require additional information, such as a report from an expert witness with appropriate credentials such as a child psychologist who had actually had an opportunity to interview the child and evaluate the effects of the alleged mental/emotional abuse.
