Military Pension Benefits to Divorced Spouse

I was married to my first husband during the entire course of his military service, 1973 to 1976. We were divorced following his discharge. Am I entitled to any of his pension benefits?

Re: Military Pension Benefits to Divorced Spouse

If your former husband only served three years(73-76), he would not be entitled to a (retirement)pension. However, if in fact, you meant to indicate a period of service time which would've qualified him for retirement benefits, you would

only be entitled to share in these benefits if your final decree of divorce provided for this.
