minor

i rented my 18 step daughter a room she took her 16 year old sister w/her and 2 guys the 16 year old hollered rape not enough evid.but i`m getting charged w/contributing 2 a minor.what is the time on this

i have a clean record

Rather than worrying about the time involved as a possible penalty for a conviction on this charge, your time would now be better spent in securing the services of a defense counsel(if you haven't already done so), and cooperating with him or her in every way that you can to prepare a defense to what appears to be a weak case for the prosecution and a charge that may not even be justified by the facts.

The prosecutor must prove that you facilitated criminal behavior. This is not easy to prove. Hire the best attorney you can. It is a Class One Misdemeanor which carries up to twelve months in jail and up to a $2500 fine. The Judge is likely to impose jail time the worse the facts are. A good lawyer can work out a non jail plea agreement if you are worthy of one.
