Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Minor's Rights

I am 17 years old and I will be 18 in October. I have graduated high school, I have my license, and I am enrolled in college. Can my parents legally tell me I can not leave the house untill I turn 18? I talked to a local lawyer but didnt get a clear answer. She said I have to abide by their rules if I'm living in their house, but does the rule not leaving the house count?
