misd assault and battery

if warrant is filed for assault,court date set, all parties notifed. Can this warrant be overturned, withdrawn etc by the complaintant, before court date, if so how or under what conditions???

The prosecutor and not the complainant is in

charge of the determination of whether the

warrant should or should not be dismissed prior

to bringing the case before the court.
