Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Modification of Child Support

Lost job filed for modification of child support went to court and was told they only reduce if lost job for no fault of own. Sent home with a form that says support/show cause order requesting documentation that I lost job for no fault of own. Talked to old boss he refuses saying he had disagreemetn with me so since I can't get letter they won't reduce support but i started new job and on 90 probationary period can't afford to take off court again, can I request in writing to judge of clerk of the court to withdrawal request for modification so i don't have to go to court or would I still have to go even though I was not able to obtain documentation to reduce the support?
