monetary award

I receive a monetray award from my ex-husband monthly. I will be remarrying in May and wish to release him from this obligation. What do I need to do?

Tell your former husband to have his lawyer file the necessary paperwork with the court which has jurisdiction over this matter and that you will sign a consent order to extinguish his obligation to pay you further alimony.
