Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
if the mother of an unmarried couple of 11 years decides to move in with her parents can she seek child support? this will be the 3rd time she done it and will live there for free along with getting free childcare since she is a daycare director. since her name is on the mortgage with me am i able to get money from her for half of the mortgage and house bills that she will not pay. she has been trying to sell the house or refinance it on her own and obviously cannot do it. this has been going on for 7 years. without paying her half of the mortgage the house will go into foreclosure. her parents are in their 80's with a reverse mortgage on their home. so she will basically be losing 2 houses soon. is this a really better choice for the children along with destroying her credit with mine. she was not told to leave nor have i done anything to make her leave. she doesnt get her way and goes straight to trying to refinance the house on her own and having crazy documents drafted up by lawyers. i dont have a lot of money and need some free advice for now. i know i will need to hire a lawyer soon but need to know if i have a chance or am just wasting my time and money.

Contesting support should be done in court properly. You should know how to introduce evidence correctly. Some judges require you to follow rules of evidence. Good luck.
