Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My Ex wants to move to another state

What can I do to prevent my Ex-wife from moving to another state with my 11 year old son?

Or, even slow down the process.

What rights do I have in this circumstance?

Please help!!!

Re: My Ex wants to move to another state

You have the right to file a petition asking that the child's residence not be changed to an area that makes your parental rights much more dificult to realize; the relief is not so much restricting the mother's right to move -- it's asking for change in custody to you so that the child won't move with her.
