Can the NCP file a motion to decrease child support if they were terminated for gross misconduct due to numerous incidents? Since the NCP did not voluntarily quit or laid off due to lack of work, do they qualify for a decrease according to VA Child Support Guidelines.

With the VCSG, the focus of the inquiry is normally on the current income of the spouse claiming the decrease and not the reason(s) for the decrease. So, if the decrease is verified, the claiming spouse is normally entitled to have his or her obligation adjusted accordingly under the Guidelines.
