Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My niece's mother (who was never married to my brother) has a history of falsely accusing sexual abuse. She accused her ex-husband of abusing one of her daughters, A few years ago she accused my brother's son of abusing one of her daughters (which was investigated by the police and was dismissed) and now she is accusing my brother's wife's two daughters of abusing my niece. My family is concerned of how to protect ourselves from these false accusations and still doing things with my niece. My niece is 4.

My recommendation: When interacting with your niece, your family members should involve as many of themselves as possible in the activity(even if only as observers), and, for the time being, the two daughters should avoid being alone with the the four year old to the extent that is possible. (And, if other unrelated folks are also available to act as observers, all the better.)
