Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Noncustodial parent moving out of state

My ex has decided to mone from Northern VA to the NYC projects. He wants to maintain contact with our two year old son. My problem is he's moving from 15 miles away to three states away and I feel uneasy about our son spending time in the NYC projects. Is there anything that can be done?

Re: Noncustodial parent moving out of state

The visitation schedule for your former husband with his son may now need to be reconfigured in order to accomodate these new facts and to determine what is in the child's best interests. If there is now a court order in effect, it may now be necessary to bring it back before the court for a review and possible modification of the father's visitation arrangements to accommodate what would appear to be a material change in the facts of the case relevant to the issue of visitation.
