Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
I am the non-custodial parent. I was ordered to pay child support in one county (Arlington) before my divorce was finalized. The PSA and divorce decree include the requirements of the support order but were filed in a different county (Fairfax).
According to the PSA, support for the children ends when they graduate from high school or turn 19. My daughter just graduated, what do I need to do to stop her portion of support? I am told by the district court (support order) that the support is now with the Circuit court since the divorce is final.
Can I stop paying support for my eldest without reopening the divorce?

Yes, the circuit court would now have jurisdiction over the issue of
child support.
A Virginia attorney who handles domestic relations matters should review the documents and related facts before advising you (in my opinion).
In some cases, a motion should be filed to terminate the support.
