Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
notice of hearing
I am requesting a ore tenus hearing.
proof of service of the Notice and the Final Decree will have to be presented at the ore tenus hearing. How do i go about completing this. Will the court notify the other party or do i need to initiate some paper work?

Re: notice of hearing
If the defendant party has already waived further service, there should be no need to now have copies of these documents served upon him or her for purposes of the Ore Tenus hearing. However, if such is not the case, then you will need to have them properly served upon this defendant party in a manner which meets he requirements of Virginia law and which could be by certified mail with return receipt requested or by having them personally served upon the defendant or at his/her residence by a person age 18 or older who is a disinterested party.
