Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am the obligor of a child support order. The ordered amount is currently being withheld from my paycheck on a bi-weekly basis. Can Virginia Child Support Enforcement place a levy on my joint bank account at the same time the support is being withheld from my paycheck? THe only deposits that go into my account are my pay checks. So technically Child SUpport is garnishing 100% of my wages oppose to the max of 50%. I am in the arrears because I was out of work for almost 2 years. Should that have any affect on how much more then can take at one time?

You should schedule an appointment wih your local district DCSE office to

discuss the situation and to determine whether the amounts being garnished

from your wages and bank account can be reduced.
