Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have been in an ongoing battle with my ex-husband. Everytime we go to court, he asks the judge for a copy of my personal medical records. The judge says no everytime. The most recent time, MY lawyer voluntarily gave my medical records to my ex-husband, even though I objected. I did not want my personal health information to be given to him. The judge did not order me to give him a copy. I feel like my right to privacy has been violated? Was he allowed to do this? If not, what can I do to stop him from doing this any further?

Give your lawyer written notice that he is not permitted to share any

such medical records in the future with anyone (absent a valid order

from a judge) until you have given him specific permission to do so, and that if he refuses to abide by your request, you will have to

replace him as your attorney in the matter.
