Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have an Order Of Support (Civil), and it reads as followed: TOTAL $ 550 per month payable, first payment due on the 1st day of June, 2014, and each subsequent payment is due on the 1st day of each month thereafter. Payments may be made in intervals of $127, per week, beginning on 5-16-14. -- Now, is that saying my husband should of given me $550 on June 1st? And after June 1st, he can pay me $127 a week if he chooses not to pay me $550 on the 1st of the next month (July)? And also, wasn't he suppose to pay me $127 on 5-16-14 and then a week later before June 1st got here?

It appears there is a drafting error as to when the support payments begin, whether on May 16 or June 1. This is something that should be worked out by the parties rather than asking the attorneys to straighten it our; the latter would not be cost-effective.
