Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I'm from Oregon, and I'm asking this question for my girlfriend, who has no internet connection and lives in Halifax County, Virginia. She's trying to get her divorce, she's been separated since June 2008. Every lawyer she has been trying to get help from only puts her off. They lie to her that they filed the divorce papers, but didn't. They didn't tell her that there can't be a court date before a deposition was filed. The lawyer doesn't respond to her phone messages. She lives in a bad situation with her still-husband verbally harrassing her all the time, which puts her in permanent stress and makes her physically sick. If not for her 9 years old son, she would already be living here in Oregon with me, out of his abusive influence. She's disabled, on SSDI, and her still-husband doesn't give her enough money to live so she's sraping along from day to day. I get by, but don't have enough to help her out, aside from that any money I'd give her wouldn't beneft her anway. She thinks the lawyers don't want to help her because she doesn't have money.

What can she do to get this solved?

Is there a low income legal help for her in Virginia or Halifax County?

Can you get her in touch with a lawyer who's really willing to help her?

Can she expedite the legal custody question - if not the divorce - that she can move here and get out of her abusive environment?
