parents rights

found out i have a 15 year old boy didn't know now she wants all the back support. igo for blood test order by the state on wednesday. what are my rights . missing my son growing up and her not letting me know for 15 years

First of all, Virginia law will not permit the mother to retroactively claim "all the back support" that she may think that she is due in this situation. Nor can she claim support from the date

that you are determined to be the biological father of the child in question(if such occurs), but rather only from the date that her petition for child support has been filed with the appropriate court after such a determination of the paternity of the child has been made by a valid test for such matters.
