Third party suits

Can a third party (mistress, byfriend, etc) be sued for the cause of a marriage breakup?

While adultery is still a crime in Virginia, it is rarely prosecuted. It has been when there is undeniable physical proof (such as a videotape of the adulterous act). There is no civil lawsuit available for alienation of affection any more so there is no money damage suit one could bring.

No, the tort (civil wrong) action formerly known as Alienation of Affection no longer exists as part of the Commonwealth's recognized body of law.
