past due child support

My ex husband is past due on child support $130,000. He has recently started to pay through the state,but still no back pay. Can this be collected and how? my kids want to go to college.

If the state knows about his back support owed, they will make efforts to collect it, and they have some tools that you don't, such as getting access to his tax refunds if he has any coming.

If he has assets you know about that can be converted to cash, it may pay you to retain an attorney to try to collect the back support.
