Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

paying support early

I pay support for two children. Child #1 graduates H.S. in June 2005, child #2 graduates H.S. in June 2007. My support is supposed to be cut in half for the last two years, can I pay full for one year or do I need to have an agreement? My ex and I are not on friendly terms, she has a forked tongue.

Re: paying support early

DO NOT MAKE AN AGREEMENT unless it is memorialized in a court order.

VA has very unusual laws regarding parties modifying their child support. You MUST do this through court order only.
