Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Payment

My husband had a affair which lead into a relationship and denied it the whole 8 yrs it was going on i did not wish to divorce and he also wished this but now all of a sudden he has asked for one i have told him i will give him one on the grounds of his adultery and mental torture he has put me through and my family and doctor are willing to back me up on this thing is i have no 21money to spare and have been told i can have him billed for it is this true we have been together 30 yrs i stood by him his whole navy days bringing up six kids then he retires and desides to move on to some one else who is married lying to me the whole time till i confronted this other woman i need someone who will represnt me as i feel i should not just be thrown to the side like a peice of garbage i dont want a divorce but he does and i am not going to let it go with nothing out of his pension plans etc i need advice bad thanks--name removed--oneal

Filing one's divorce based upon one or more fault grounds enumerated in Va. Code Sec. 20-91 rarely makes good legal or practical sense--when the same objectives can very likely be achieved in much less time and cost by proceeding on a no-fault basis.
