Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a pende lite order for my divorce. Now what do I do ? We agree on everything including our child. Neither of us really can afford our attorneys anymore, it has been an expense process already. Can I file for the final divorce on my own ?

You need to finalize a Property Settlement Agreement (PSA) with your spouse to determine how all the marital property (as well as debts) are to be divided up and how other important issues arising from or connected to your marriage are to be settled which can then be incorporated into a final decree of divorce.

A Pendente Lite order does not do this and is designed to mainly

deal temporarily with custody, visitation, support and maintenance and, possibly, the issue of which spouse gets to occupy the marital home, pending the divorce.
