Physical Custody and the Military

Can a child be taken away from a service member who has physical custody if this member receives official orders to serve overseas?

The court considering the custody matter is required to consider all of the factors which

may determine what is in the child's proverbial best interests. The fact that the parent of such a child has received orders to serve abroad in the military could not alone be the basis for the court to strip away such parent's right to physical custody of the child.
