Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I know my ex is looking into placing our child into a private school in 2nd grade. I dont want her to increase child support because of the private school fees and costs. I am remarried with 3 children and I need to protect my new family financially so what are my steps to do so? What document I need her to sign that is her choice and she cannot ask me to pay for that school?

Thank you, Artur

Forget about having her sign any documents that you conjure up in regard to the matter. What counts is what the Virginia Child Support Guidelines (Va. Code Sec. 20-108.2) have to say about such costs (if anything) and/or possibly your final decree of divorce which may have incorporated a property settlement agreement that included a provision having to do with your children's educational costs.

If you're unsure about any of the above, then arrange to consult an attorney

to you.
