Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am pregnant. My childs father wants to relinquish his parental rights. He has already done this with one child. If we write up a document stating that and have it notarized is that sufficient to terminate his parental rights? Also if the father terminates his parental rights does that terminate his familys(mainly his mothers) rights?

Parental rights to unborn children cannot be terminated until such children

are born. Even then, however, the termination of such rights requires a valid court

order from a court of proper jurisdiction rather than a parent merely signing

a piece of paper(even one that is notarized) purportedly claiming to terminate

the parent's parental rights to the subject child.
