Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Primary Custodian wants child to stay in state

My ex and I have joint custody and I am considered the primary custodian. I currently do have a child support obligation but I do give her money every month to help. She wants to relocate to West Virginia and it says in our papers she cannot relocate without permission. She is still going to leave though. What action should I take to protect myself from having my daughter moved to West Virginia without my permission and even though I have a consent agreement that forbides it?

Petition the court for sole custody of your daughter. You cannot prevent your ex from moving but you can prevent her from taking your daughter.
