Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Pro Se Divorce and Residency, PLEASE ADVISE!!!

My daughter had been living in Virginia for 5 or so years. About a month ago, after being married for two years, she left her husband taking their 1 year old daughter and came home to Indiana. Although I understand that it is not recommended, can you legally file for a divorce Pro Se if you know how to do the legal motions...?

The other question is if she stays in Indiana for 6 months, making her a legal resident of Indiana can she file the divorce here or does she still have to file it in Virginia?

Thank you, in advance, for your time.

If you file pro se and make a mistake you may be paying a heck of lot more money to fix the problem later or may be forbidden from doing so at all. Would you perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, engineering, computer programming etc on your own?

States usually have residency requirements.

At this point, my guess is that Virginia still has jurisdiction.
