Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Problem causeing mother in-law

Can I take my mother in-law to court in order for her to keep her nose out of my buisness. She is trying to break up my marriage, and causing a lot of personal problems for the entire family.

Re: Problem causeing mother in-law

It depends on the behavior of the mother in law. Is she harrassing you, threatening you? If so these may be causes of action. You may even get a restraining order to keep her from contacting you. In order to assess whether these are truly viable options I would need more details. Also, is your husband supporting a suit? If not, this could also pose problems with pursuing legal action. If you would like to discuss please call my office at 301-652-0663 or 703-598-9220.
