Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Receiving the GED prior to turning 18

My daughter passed her GED and is only 17 and of course still living at home. My question is: does her father have to continue with his portion of child support until she is 18? According to the school system she is still considered a student until June 2008.

Re: Receiving the GED prior to turning 18

Yes, your daughter's father is obligated under Virginia law to support his daughter until she turns age 19 or graduates from high school, whichever occurs first.
