Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I recently received a letter from Virginia Division of Child Support Eforcement requested all of my financial informaiton including:checking and saving accounts with their numbers, property ownership, vehicles with tag numbers, driver license numbers, farm equipment, 401K statement, paystub. Reason being the ex-wife is trying to get more child support over the $5300 a year that was requested by the first court order for child support. Question being, why they need this type of information and if this is required by law as it was not required in the first court order other than my paystub? I have never been in the rears since it was first requested, never. Letter also states that they can use this as income but I do not farm. Why are they requesting all of this additional information, and could this be used as income? All of my property and assets are in myself and my wife's name.
