Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
I recently retired from the military and I have worked as an official in the local area. My work as an official is seasonal and not guranteed...how much if any, does this play a role in determining the amount of child support to be given?

A court in assessing such income for the purposes of determining a child support obligation, will
normally look to an average of the additional income over a period of 12 months to determine how much, if any, an obligor's support obligation should be increased.
