I recieved a post card in the mail to schedule my ore tenus hearing, on the post card, no further documentation is required, is that noraml? Also, in regards to the questions I must prepare and bring to the hearing, who am I or will I be asking those questions to? And how many do I need to take with me?

If the postcard was from the clerk's office of the

appropriate circuit court, then you should plan on appearing

there at the specified time and date, bringing one witness with you who

is familiar with your domestic situation leading up to your divorce.

At your Ore Tenus hearing, it is this person who will be sworn to

answer the three dozen or so questions concerning the grounds for your divorce and related matters which you will be expected to

ask this witness (and which s/he will be expected to answer) before the judge presiding at this hearing.

Some courts allow depositions for divorce in lieu of ore tenus hearing at court house. Good luck. Attorney Sheryl Shane. Web: www.sherylshanelaw.com.
